I'm sick

Good morning Update for this week: Guess what I'm sick 🙃 the mission nurse labeled it as "the dreadful summer cold", and I can attest to that. It sucks. BUT I was well enough to go to church yesterday and we had 4 nonmember friends there!!!! We were going to have 5 but the fifth one's phone died and his alarm didn't go off 😒 he said he'll be switching his work shifts from Saturday evening to Saturday mornings though, so that's good! Also this week we invited Halle and Chris to be baptized!!! And they didn't say yes, but they didn't say no either! They're moving this week, so they'll be out of our hands after that, but Halle said I was a big part of their journey and they're so grateful for us, and that made me happy :) Scripture of the week: Alma 26:35-37           "35 Now have we not reason to rejoice? Yea, I say unto you, there never were men that had so great reason to rejoice as we, since the world began; yea, and my joy is ...

Week 35: bear sighting

Good morning Update for this week: Sister McKell is in Portugal (rip the trio life) 😔 Sister Kenney is super cool and amazing at testifying to people!!!  We also helped a new family move into the ward and as a result met 2 of their neighbors, one who we might be doing art with and one who the missionaries actually had street contacted before, but now we know where he lives! 😎 There is also a bear with 2 cubs wandering around by Yellow Lake, we saw a lot of pics and videos from a lot of different people, but not the actual bear 😂 Scripture of the week: 1 John 4:16-19 "And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. There is no fear in love, but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. We love him, becaus...

Salutations Update for this week: Wow we had some good lessons this week :) One of our friends named Tang brought his son Bruce, who's like 6, and he wanted a Book of Mormon, so we're bringing him a children's one next time! 😁 We also had a lesson with Halle and Chris and they're just so much happier and brighter than when we first met them, it's fantastic :)) Also Sister McKell is going to Portugal on Thursday 😭 BUT I'm getting another new missionary on Tuesday, so I'll have 2 trainees for like 2 days 😅😂 kind of exciting to have Irish twins lol Scripture of the week: Enos 1:4, 12 "And my soul hungered; and I kneeled down before my Maker, and I cried unto him in mighty prayer and supplication for mine own soul; and all the day long did I cry unto him; yea, and when the night came I did still raise my voice high that it reached the heavens. And it came to pass that after I had prayed and labored with all diligence, the Lord said unto me: I will gran...

It is colder now Update for this week: We had a lot of lessons cancel this week, but we had some FANTASTIC SPLs :) One was actually a Plan of Salvation one and it went great! I have this little laser printed PoS that's super cute so we just went through it all super quick and then shared a scripture and it was awesome :) We have a TON of lessons set up thanks to this week's stretch goal, but they're all for next week 😂😂 Except we did have one with our friend Diana who we haven't seen in a while and it was really good. :)) we helped her discover what the Spirit feels like using the pause method with the First Vision 🥰😁 it kinda feels like a superpower almost haha, being able to invite the Spirit all the time 😇😁 Scripture of the week: Omni 1:26 "And now, my beloved brethren, I would that ye should come unto Christ, who is the Holy One of Israel, and partake of his salvation, and the power of his redemption. Yea, come unto him, and offer your whole souls as an ...
