Week 23: I am learning French but not really

Image
Bonjour I got transferred Update for this week: I'm in Klahanie now!! It's pretty up here, there's a lot of trees... but it's like a suburb kind of instead of the boonies  Apparently Klahanie isn't actually a city either, it's just a set of neighborhoods in Sammammish, so that's kind of funny  Some of this week's highlights: •language study with my new companion, Sister Cardon, who is French speaking! (That's why I'm learning French, but I'm not actually learning French.... ya know?) •doing family history (kind of, it was mostly our ward temple/family history consultant XD) with one of our friends! •talking to an inactive member who converted to Islam  •talking to lots of members :)) •my dad's boss bringing me candy  •a FANTASTIC lesson with some members, and another 2 great ones with nonmembers  Scripture of the week: Alma 5:60 "And now I say unto you that the good shepherd doth call after you; and if you will hearken unto his voice...

Hey I'm getting transferred Update for this week: Well it's gonna be crazy and I'm gonna miss my first area, but I'm excited to see the rest of the mission :) This week we've been making a LOT of visits to all sorts of people. We were visiting this one family and there were like 3 cops outside their apartment building and we were like "hello" and they were like "where do you live" and we were like "North Bend" and they were like "oh who are you visiting then?" And we were like "this one" and they were like "oh ok you're good, that's not the one we're trying to contact" and we were like  It was definitely odd for this area, ngl  Scripture of the week: Jacob 4:6 "Wherefore, we search the prophets, and we have many revelations and the spirit of prophecy; and having all these witnesses we obtain a hope, and our faith becometh unshaken, insomuch that we truly can command in the name of Jesus and...

Youth Missionary Madness Activity

Hello all! My ward up here in Washington just finished a Youth Missionary activity in March, at it was SO FUN!! We got a lot of great feedback and it was so good to see all the youth getting into the missionary spirit :)) Youth are definitely some of the BEST missionaries, so I wanted to share the documents we made for this activity in case you all want to do something like it! I only ask that you make copies of the documents before you change them :) Here is the link to the folder: https://drive.google.com/ folderview?id=1vhTi_ QpycEXNMdrKVUolVsg87zudaErK And the document you should read first: https://docs.google.com/ document/d/ 1mqR6BbrdqmuRcPk2rwQU_M- iCGekan7qGmAPE_FL5tk/edit?usp= drivesdk Feel free to make this activity your own, and forward this email to the Sisters in your ward! If any of you have any questions or if you need anything else please let me know :)) Have a great week! -Sister Rebecca Hale (Washington Seattle Mission)

Idk what week this is, but Happy Easter!

Happy Easter everyone! Update for this week: Oh my goodness General Conference was AWESOME!!! My favorite talks were..... ALL OF THEM  This week one of our friends told us they weren't interested anymore, so that's sad :(  BUT it's ok because we can still love them We also had a couple cool miracles... A few weeks ago we tried to find someone named Monty who had been taught in the past, but we weren't sure who it was because we met Carol and Monty Sr, who weren't interested, BUT they had a son named Monty Jr who they said was VERY interested. So a couple days ago we went back and met Monty Jr and talked to him for a bit and he wants to learn about our church and get back into "the church thing"! Super exciting :)) Miracle number 2: we tracted into a man named Mike a couple months ago, but haven't been able to contact him since. A couple days ago we went back and he answered the door and talked to us and told us that he's having a hard time so it wo...
