Sister Hale in Seattle

Hehe baptisms and birthdays :) Update for this week: Sister Beckstead flew to Brazil, her OG assignment. So now we no longer have trio life :( so sad, too bad. But she graced us with a funny quote on her way out XD PETER GOT BAPTIZED IM SO HAPPY!!!!!   I got to be a witness and I also spoke about the Holy Ghost :)) it was awesome!!!! Also yesterday was my birthday and we had the most AMAZING Stake conference EVER and the theme was MISSIONARY WORK / love, share, and invite! It was super cool because the mission President and his wife came and spoke too!!! It was amazing :)) There was a children's choir and they sang such a beautiful song and then right as they ended the power went off and it was like pitch black and everyone laughed, it was so funny    then they came back on a few seconds later haha. There was also a young man speaking and he gave such an AMAZING talk, and he talked about how missionary work can be just listening to a friend and helping them feel love...

Hehe baptisms :) Update for this week: I got a call this week and Peter's baptism is THIS SATURDAY at 2PM!!!!!! AAAHHHHHHHH IM SO EXCITED!!!!! They asked me to speak about the Holy Ghost and I hope it turns out ok   they're doing the baptismal service half in Chinese and half in English, which is super cool :)) Also this week we went over the baptismal questions with our friend Jo and she is SO set   she's so cool :)) she's super funny too   and she's like 82yo! Finn Hill is awesome and also odd XD Update for this week: Holy cow I LOVE my new companions!!!! They are both so cool and such good missionaries :) Sister Misi is an AMAZING teacher and so good at asking questions and also very artistic. Sister Beckstead is such a good example and is just so sweet and I'm sad she's gonna leave to her original assignment on the 21st because this trio life is just the best ever :( but she will do amazing things in Brazil too! This week we've been SUPER busy, I've been getting to know members and learning names and stuff, and we've had some lessons, tried to find people to teach, and also met a member who has a sword collection, and also antique/replica firearms, and bows and arrows (longbow and a recurve, none of them modern). It's transfer day! I'm getting moved up to Finn Hill! I think they're just moving me farther and farther north... maybe when I reach the uppermost part of the mission they'll send me to the very bottom   Update for this week: General conference was AMAZING!!!! I loved how much everyone talked about the love of God and how we can love and serve those around us. I loved the focus on joy as well, and how if we focus on the Savior we can have peace and joy "regardless of what is happening or not happening in our lives"! I know that this is true, and I would invite you all to go back and read, watch, or listen to the talks that were given! I know they are God's words to us today, and as we actively apply what was said we will be able to feel God's love greater in our own lives and receive all the promised blessings that were given, and more!
