Week 10: New Finding Idea

Image
Hello good neighbors! (not including State Farm) Update for this week: Today is transfers, on of the Sisters we live with is being replaced with one of our STL's companions. It's cool that I actually know someone! XD Also our car broke yesterday, there was something wrong with the battery. Luckily it was still in our garage, so it was safe. We called roadside assistance and the guy who came said this was the 3rd one he'd seen this week that was exactly the same. It all had to do with the 2020 Rav4s, there's some fuse or connection that's off and the manufacturers are trying to figure it out. 🤷‍♀️ Anyways to thank him we gave him banana bars that Sister Manning made and a little thank you note written on a pass along card and he texted us later and said if we needed any other help to let him know! We texted back and told him we were missionaries and gave our spiel, asking if he would be interested in learning about Jesus Christ's restored gospel and he said ...

Week 9? Power Outage... saved the pizza snacks lol

Bonjour (is what I would say if I was French, but I'm not lol) Update for this week: We had a LOT of crazy stuff going on this week lol. (Also it feels like I've been out for 2 days or all my life, so that's wack) First off, we got 13 potentials! (aka people who said we can come back and talk to them about Jesus) SUPER exciting, considering we had to basically drop most of the people we were teaching... (some aren't progressing, some we haven't been able to get a hold of for a few months) We also had a power outage on Wednesday, which was CRAZY. We woke up and the lights wouldn't turn on. And when we tried to call someone we found out that our phones didn't work either. So we went to our Ward Mission Leader's house for help (he has a generator) and we found out that the T-Mobile towers are in the area of the power outage.... so yeah... we didn't have working communication till like 10am. But our WML was super nice and he let us borrow his phone to do...

Week 8 (I'm pretty sure): We went on a 2 minute hike

Good afternoon America Update for this week: I fell down the stairs this week but it's fine, I was mostly not injured 😎 #blessingsfromonhigh I do have a weirdly large amount of small injuries (such as accidentally hitting my head on the car as I get in or out, biting my tongue, burning my mouth, hitting my head on the dryer door, hitting my elbows on all sorts of things, tripping everywhere, and pinching my finger in my closet door) but I'm happy that I can have those little injuries in Washington while I'm serving a mission :) (a.k.a. too late SATAN 😂) Sister Manning and I found a light that had one of those "no turn on red" signs... but it was only no turn on red from Monday-Friday, 5am-6pm or something like that (probably for a school was our idea, but it was kinda funny still). Also this week, our zone made a goal to get as many lessons as we could this week... and after that everyone cancelled on my comp and I and only like 2 of them rescheduled XD. We eve...

Week 7: safest city in America?

Image
Good afternoon.   Just so I don't forget: I have heard from multiple sources that the area I'm in (which is based in Snoqualmie Valley) is the safest [city] in the United States, but idk if that's true cuz I can't fact check it! lol (If anyone wants to look it up lmk! haha, it's either North Bend or Snoqualmie) [Mom did a quick search and found Bellevue, Washington --home of the mission office-- was in the top ten safest cities in America in 2019] Update: We had a new goal this week: to have 30 hours of finding/teaching time. Yesterday my comp and I hit 31 hours  We also have a faith challenge! We're supposed to study examples of exceedingly great faith, pray for opportunities to act in faith, and then act when we receive promptings! It's a really awesome challenge and I'm excited to keep working on it :) Also we have some pretty fun people in our area, and old ladies are the best XD We got permission to go tracting a week or two ago so we've been ...
