Week 10: New Finding Idea

 Hello good neighbors! (not including State Farm)

Update for this week:

Today is transfers, on of the Sisters we live with is being replaced with one of our STL's companions. It's cool that I actually know someone! XD

Also our car broke yesterday, there was something wrong with the battery. Luckily it was still in our garage, so it was safe. We called roadside assistance and the guy who came said this was the 3rd one he'd seen this week that was exactly the same. It all had to do with the 2020 Rav4s, there's some fuse or connection that's off and the manufacturers are trying to figure it out. 🤷‍♀️

Anyways to thank him we gave him banana bars that Sister Manning made and a little thank you note written on a pass along card and he texted us later and said if we needed any other help to let him know! We texted back and told him we were missionaries and gave our spiel, asking if he would be interested in learning about Jesus Christ's restored gospel and he said "sure why not" 😱😱😱 we have to refer him cuz he doesn't live in our area, which is sad, but that's ok! He's super nice. Everyone pray for Zakariya!!!

(That's the new finding idea btw, is to break your cars lol. But don't actually...)

Scripture of the week (with Joseph Smith Translation in verse 27):

Acts 17:

24 God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;

25 Neither is worshipped with men’s hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things;

26 And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;

27 That they should seek the Lord, if they are willing to find him, for he is not far from every one of us:

28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.

29 Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man’s device.

Quotes this week:

•"Nowhere is God’s love, wisdom, and redemptive power more evident than in His ability to turn our struggle with human weakness into the invaluable godly virtues and strengths that make us more like Him." -Wendy Ulrich from April 2015 It isn't a Sin to be Weak

•"As the Lord is patient with us, let us be patient with those we serve. Understand that they, like us, are imperfect. They, like us, make mistakes. They, like us, want others to give them the benefit of the doubt.

Never give up on anyone. And that includes not giving up on yourself." -Dieter F Uchtdorf from April 2010 Continue in Patience

•"What's that?"

"A backhoe with a breaker attachment with at least a 36 inch bucket, probably a 50 inch"

"What's that?"

"Uh... a garden hose?" -Sister Smart and I with Sister Manning telling us about cool power tools XD

•"Its already in my heart... and in my tag" -Sister Briggs

Bonus Joke:

When was the first time laundry was done in the Bible?..................................

....................................When God separated the light from the dark 😂

Fun Fact: in ancient Egypt, basil was used in the embalming and mummification process. Through the centuries, it became custom for Italian suitors to wear a sprig of basil as a sign of their marital intentions. Also, in India, Hindus believed that if a leaf of basil was buried with them it would serve as their passport to heaven.

P.S. Shout out to my newly married sister Rachel!!!! Congrations :))

P.P.S. Everyone should send me all of their really good clean jokes cuz I am running out VERY quickly.

P.S.P.S. IT WAS SO SUNNY THIS WEEK!!!! IT ONLY RAINED LIKE 4 TIMES!!!!!!!! (It almost snowed too but only once XD)
