Week 7: safest city in America?

 Good afternoon. 

Just so I don't forget: I have heard from multiple sources that the area I'm in (which is based in Snoqualmie Valley) is the safest [city] in the United States, but idk if that's true cuz I can't fact check it! lol

(If anyone wants to look it up lmk! haha, it's either North Bend or Snoqualmie) [Mom did a quick search and found Bellevue, Washington --home of the mission office-- was in the top ten safest cities in America in 2019]

Update:

We had a new goal this week: to have 30 hours of finding/teaching time. Yesterday my comp and I hit 31 hours 

We also have a faith challenge! We're supposed to study examples of exceedingly great faith, pray for opportunities to act in faith, and then act when we receive promptings! It's a really awesome challenge and I'm excited to keep working on it :)

Also we have some pretty fun people in our area, and old ladies are the best XD

We got permission to go tracting a week or two ago so we've been doing a bit of that and the other night it was POURING rain and SUPER windy (like almost trees falling over wind but not quite) and we went knocking on some of these apartment doors in our area. We knocked on one door and this really old lady answered and she was like "oh come in come in, it's too cold to be outside!" And so we were like 'um, sure' and then we introduced ourselves and we started talking . . . (they weren't interested in our church sadly, but who knows, we might see them again?) Anyways so it was funny cuz she was like apologizing to us that she couldn't give us anything (we kept trying to explain that we would be the ones serving her but idk if she got the message! lol) and she touched our shoulders and she was like "oh you're wet!" And it was really funny XD

ALSO earlier this week we knocked on an atheists door and that was an adventure 

He saw us and made a "one second" motion and then got a mask and then stepped outside and started yelling at us cuz he didn't want us to proselytize to him cuz he's atheist and he can believe whatever he wants and my comp and I were like 'yeah that's the beauty of living in America, believe what you want' (basically) and he was like 'oh aren't you here to police my thoughts?' and we were like 'um no we're here to serve'  it was pretty interesting, ngl [not gonna lie]. (Just for clarification, those are not all direct quotes except he did actually say something about policing his thoughts, it's just generally how the conversation went)
