Week 8 (I'm pretty sure): We went on a 2 minute hike

Good afternoon America

Update for this week:

I fell down the stairs this week but it's fine, I was mostly not injured 😎 #blessingsfromonhigh

I do have a weirdly large amount of small injuries (such as accidentally hitting my head on the car as I get in or out, biting my tongue, burning my mouth, hitting my head on the dryer door, hitting my elbows on all sorts of things, tripping everywhere, and pinching my finger in my closet door) but I'm happy that I can have those little injuries in Washington while I'm serving a mission :)

Sister Manning and I found a light that had one of those "no turn on red" signs... but it was only no turn on red from Monday-Friday, 5am-6pm or something like that (probably for a school was our idea, but it was kinda funny still).

Also this week, our zone made a goal to get as many lessons as we could this week... and after that everyone cancelled on my comp and I and only like 2 of them rescheduled XD. We even had a meeting with our Bishop set up and HE CANCELLED TOO, which is incredibly funny to me. 😂😂😂

Anyways, because so many people cancelled on us we got to do a lot of random visits and finding this week, so that was AWESOME. We were using area book to find people that hadn't been reached out to in a while and we knocked on this one lady's door, but apparently she moved. BUT the woman who answered said we could come back and teach her more about Jesus Christ, so that was very cool!!! 😎

James 1:5-6

"If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

"But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed"

This week I've been studying a lot about the Spirit and promptings and such and I just thought of this scripture one day. I am so grateful that we don't have to take someone else's word for it, we can know if this is the true and living gospel of Jesus Christ. We can know for ourselves if we ask of God.

But it's so important that we ask IN FAITH because if we ask in faith with nothing wavering that means we will ACT on our answer.

If we're not willing to act on our answer God doesn't want to give us an answer, not because He doesn't love us or isn't there, but because we will be judged and held accountable for the knowledge we do have. In my opinion, that shows that God loves us SO MUCH. God doesn't want us to suffer the consequences of receiving an answer we're not ready for, and I am so grateful for that.

Fun Fact: it's illegal to chop down a tree here. Apparently a little while ago a family in our ward had a tree fall on their car (or house, idk) and there was a little bit of it still connected so they just hacked away the rest of the trunk and they got a fine 😬🌲

NOT CLICKBAITING (and I didn't lie to you mom) the Sisters in our district all wanted to do something together today so we decided to go to this one waterfall in Snoqualmie (it's pronounced snow-kwall-me) and I thought we had to hike to it but it was like a 2 minute brisk walk... it was really pretty tho :) (we had some group photos, but they haven't been sent out yet soooo rip)
