Week 14?: Sorry for the Late Email

 Helllooooo everyboddayyy

Update for this week:
We got a little more snow this week, but it didn't last the whole day so whatever πŸ€·‍♀️

Also we had ZONE CONFERENCE and there's a sort of competition to see who can get the cleanest car and whoever does gets bragging rights, 100 extra miles, and some candy... guess who won this time. Sister Manning and me πŸ˜ŽπŸ˜ŽπŸ˜Ž

ALSO we had the most AMAZING stake conference EVER!! Elder Nielson, who's the head of the missionary department, spoke and it was way awesome πŸ˜Ž
One of my favorite parts was when Elder Miskin (in the quorum of the 70) said "God is easily pleased. Not easily satisfied, because He knows what we have the potential to become, but He is easily pleased as we put forth effort." And he went on to talk about trials and specifically how Moses parted the Red Sea by the spirit of revelation and he said "sometimes we may feel as though our backs are against the Red Sea, with an army in front of us. We will feel as though there is no way out of this trial, but it will be through the Spirit of Revelation that god will part the sea, and though we walk with turbulent walls of water on both sides, we will walk on dry ground."
Elder Nielson talked about trials too and the most asked question of any missionary, which is: "if there is a God in heaven who loves us, why does He let bad things happen to us?" It is the purpose of our life here on earth, to learn and grow. And we can get through any trial we have by accessing the enabling power of the Atonement. When we sin we access the Savior's redeeming power of the Atonement by repenting. When we have a trial, we access the Savior's enabling power of the Atonement by submitting "cheerfully and with patience to all the will of the Lord".
It was just an amazing conference :))

Scripture of the week:
Romans 8:35-39
"Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
