Week 18?: Dance of the Sugarplum Fairy (except not)

Hello everyone!

Update for this week:
This week has been great!!! Except we had 10 lessons cancel, but that's ok cuz most of them are getting rescheduled :)

Ngl I forgot most of what happened, lol time flies πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

I did give what we call a "training" (it's like a 25 minute class for other missionaries) about charity and love, so that was interesting.

Also, what the subject line is about: on Sunday we had in person church and one of the hymns that was played was "How Great Thou Art". These 2 little girls that were like 2 and 3 or something like that started dancing together to the music like down the aisles and it was so funny and so cute πŸ˜‚

Scripture of the week:
Matt 16:24-26
"Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.
For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?"

I was reading this morning in Alma 39:9 and it was talking about "crossing yourself" and I was pondering on that and I cross-referenced it to this scripture. To me, "crossing yourself" or "taking up a cross" means to deny yourself. Jesus Christ could have called down legions of angels, but instead He chose to submit, to suffer, and to die for us. When we choose to follow Jesus Christ in ALL things, we choose to allow His power to enter our lives and help us overcome all things.

Quotes this week:
•"It's General Conference next week!!!" -pretty much everyone
•"I would never pull your teeth, it would be impossible" -Fred (a man we were serving, he was trying to get us to guess why we were doing a specific thing and we were not making the correct guesses πŸ˜‚)
•Guess what carrot is in the Marshall Islands! Probably just carrot, they don't really have a lot of vegetables" -Sister Baldwin

Fun Fact:
Vacca in vaccination means cow, because the first vaccination was from cow pox which stopped small pox πŸ€”

Reoccurring P.S. if you have a fun fact or a joke, please email it to me and I will try to feature it in my weekly email at some point (as long as it's appropriate) πŸ˜‚
P.P.S. IT'S EASTER SEASON!!!! Everyone should go watch the Church's Easter video cuz it's pretty good :)

This is my zone :)
