Week 29 (I'm pretty sure): There's a crazy story in here today

Preface: When you find the crazy story (its labeled, dont worry) read the scripture after because it totally works. It's like the scriptures are inspired or something, wHo knEw πŸ˜‚

Update for this week:
Soooooo my companion is literally the coolest. She taught someone on the plane ride here and got him to download gospel library and start reading the BoM!

Then on her FIRST DAY our car wouldn't start when we got to it because it was having the usual Rav4 2020 battery problem πŸ™„ so we called roadside assistance and they came to jumpstart it and it's all good now πŸ˜‚

Also this week a random person let us in to teach him and his wife which was CRAZY and totally threw me off cuz that never happens. They weren't super interested, but that's ok, we gave them a pamphlet and they said they would read it πŸ˜

Also this week we invited someone named Jesse to baptism and HE SAID no, but he did say he would read the rest of 2 Nephi 9 (which is what we were reading with him) and he was thinking about coming to church too! Next week we're bringing some members to our lesson πŸ˜Ž

If a crazy story is what you're looking for, look no further (but also read the scripture to go with this plz): I fell asleep on Saturday night and woke up in the middle of the night and could feel an overpowering darkness in the room. I tried to address it as Satan, but I couldn't speak, it felt like my mouth was frozen shut. But then I thought about Jesus Christ and I could speak, so I commanded the evil spirit to leave by the power of Jesus Christ. I said the same phrase 3 times and as soon as I finished, the darkness fled. my entire body literally lifted out of my bed, like there had been a weight pressing me down and after that both of us could move again and Sister McKell could talk, because she hadn't been able to earlier.  We called our mission president afterward and he prayed with us over the phone and then we called our Stake president and he and his wife were over in like 20 minutes at like 3am and he gave us both priesthood blessings. It was the craziest thing, but I know God truly does protect His children and as long as we turn to Jesus Christ, there is no darkness or evil that cannot be overcome.

Scripture of the week:
This is the scripture I put on my plaque (I think, idk if it ever actually got put there) but based on that final story, it's become even more my favorite scripture because I totally know it is true.

Romans 8:35-39
"35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

I know this is God's work. I know that we are weak and simple and without God, this work would not be happening. I know darkness and evil is real, but good and light will ALWAYS overcome it, 100% of the time, as long as we turn to Jesus Christ as the source of that power and love.
Any number (us) + infinity (Jesus) = infinity

Funny quote:
•"Do yOu fEel ILL??" -Adjusting to missionary life booklet πŸ˜‚

Fun Fact:
Historically, southeastern Europe has been the primary producer of Sage. Dalmatian Sage, as it is commonly called, has been recognized as superior in the United States. It is highly aromatic, noted for its mellowness. Its smoother taste is due to differing essential oil components.
