Week 30: I made a joke πŸ˜‚

*beep beep* πŸš—πŸŽΊ

Update for this week:

So we had a few FANTASTIC lessons this week, but I just want to share one.

We had a lesson with a man named Tang and it was so good. This is like the second time that we've met him, and he'd only met once with missionaries before (he was a referral). He had read the chapter of the BoM that we asked him to and we could see it all marked up with his pencil and  he asked us a few questions about Jesus Christ and who Jacob is and what the House of Israel is and we were able to talk about that and it led to talking about how we know right from wrong and the commandments and we taught about the WoW and he was like "well I drink alcohol but it's not like I'm addicted to it or anything, so it should be easy to give that up" and we were like 🀯🀯🀯 and then we talked more and we shared where he could find certain things in the BoM and he like bent the pages over so he could find them again and then at the end we invited him to be baptized and he said he'd think about it!!! It was just such a solid, good, spirit-filled lesson and he is so open to learning, it's awesome. Please pray for Tang and his family!!! 😁

Scripture of the week:

2 Nephi 26:33

"For none of these iniquities come of the Lord, for he doeth that which is good among the children of men, and you doeth nothing save it be plain unto the children of men, and he inviteth them all to come unto him and partake of his goodness, and he denieth none that come unto him, black and white, bond and free, male and female; and he remembereth the heathen; and all are alike unto God, both Jew and Gentile"

I love this scripture because it testifies that God loves all of us and wants us to be happy. He wants us to come unto Him so that we can see goodness and find joy in every aspect of our lives and I know that if we make that choice to stay close to Him, even if we're going through something super rough, we will still be able to have joy because we will have that eternal perspective :)

Funny quote:

•*me putting a charging cord on my head* "do you like my hair? It's an extension"

Fun Fact:

"Fear not" is one of the most commonly used phrases in the Bible

Yummy Asian ribs given to us from a member :)

At the temple! (Idk if this was a good pic, but hopefully lol)
