Week 55: BEST WEEK EVER

 Best. Week. Ever.

Update for this week:

This week has been AMAZING.

Monday: went tracting and it was a PARTY. We also talked to a less active member for a while who said we could come back!

Tuesday: literally the best day :)) had a super solid missionary meeting and then we got to go to the TEMPLE!!!! It was my first time in a year, and my 2nd time ever, and it was just so so powerful. If you have the opportunity to go to the temple DO IT. It is seriously the best place in the world.

Wednesday: went tracting, found a guy who's super interested named David, gave him a BoM and he said we could come back! Also had an awesome lesson with a member family in our ward πŸ₯° they gave us pizza too XD

Thursday: went to a cookie shop called Treat with some other Sisters during lunch, it was a party and they had some fun cookie flavors XD (i.e. eggnog)
ALSO did family history a little bit with our ward ❤😁

Friday: made literally the BEST pasta oh my goodness it was πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯

Saturday: Got our weekly planning done, it was super solid, and also did some more tracting which was fun!

Sunday: Stake Conference!!!! It was so good!
Also we stopped by people and had some lessons, and also met this guy named Chris who was sitting in his truck who was super interested and we gave him a BoM and he was SO EXCITED to read it, it was awesome :))

Also, today we're going to go see Vashon Island, so that'll be fun πŸ˜Ž

Writing it out, it seems kind of plain except the temple, but living it.... it was just so amazing :))) I am SO happy haha πŸ˜‚πŸ˜

Scripture of the week:
2 Nephi 16:8
"Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then I said: Here am I; send me." -Isaiah

This is a quote/prophecy from Isaiah and I just thought it was super cool because it reminded me of the revelation in the book of Abraham where Christ, in the pre-mortal world, says "Here am I; send me." It is so powerful to know that a Savior has ALWAYS been in God's plan for us, a Savior has ALWAYS been provided to help us, strengthen us, and comfort us. And I am so so grateful for that :))

Fun Fact:
There's a lot of symbolism to the temple, but one thing I learned this week is that the temple is a symbol of the tree of life (see 1 Nephi 11), which is a symbol of God's love. The temple is literally God's love on earth ❤

Happy Easter :)) Update for this week: A lot of fun stuff happened this week! On Wednesday we were at the church waiting for Teresa and her family because we had a lesson set up, but they ended up being late... so one of the counselors in the Bishopric recruited us to talk to the 14-15 yo boys about missionary work   it was awesome, and they had really good questions! Missionary work is a good time :) On Thursday, we took a member of the Samoan ward tracting with us because she's in the MTC! It was super fun, and she gave us a ton of tips for finding Polynesian people  Friday was Zone Conference and it was AMAZING. I learned a lot, especially from the discussion we had about General Conference. I LOVE Elder Uchtdorf's talk, President Nelson's talk, Elder Eyring's talk, and Elder KlebingΓΆt's talk. Finn Hill is awesome and also odd XD Update for this week: Holy cow I LOVE my new companions!!!! They are both so cool and such good missionaries :) Sister Misi is an AMAZING teacher and so good at asking questions and also very artistic. Sister Beckstead is such a good example and is just so sweet and I'm sad she's gonna leave to her original assignment on the 21st because this trio life is just the best ever :( but she will do amazing things in Brazil too! This week we've been SUPER busy, I've been getting to know members and learning names and stuff, and we've had some lessons, tried to find people to teach, and also met a member who has a sword collection, and also antique/replica firearms, and bows and arrows (longbow and a recurve, none of them modern). Week 2.7 Happy Valentine's Day ❤

Mālō e lelei everyone, happy Valentine's day! Update for this week: We had so many people cancel on us this week and I just want you all to know that although I was never a fan of the Superbowl, I am now very much NOT a fan of the Superbowl  This week we got to see Angela again, and we got her number! She is seriously SO ELECT   we were texting off and on the last couple of days, and she told us about how what she's been reading in the Book of Mormon has been helping her and it is absolutely the SWEETEST!!! She's going through a hard time right now, so please pray for her!! We also met a lady named Flanna!!! We didn't know her, but called a number we had for her on Thursday and talked with her over the phone. THEN she said we could come back on Friday, so we taught her then and made her a friend   she is super cool too, and said could come back next week :)) She told us she wants her whole family to go to church, but she doesn't like going to their church becaus...
