Week 2.5 a baptism, a wedding, and a funeral
I wonder why people use bananas as phones instead of apples.

Update for this week:
Y'ALL. KAYDENCE GOT BAPTIZED ON SATURDAY AND IT WAS SO GOOD

It was her birthday too (she turned 10), so prob the best birthday present anyone can ask for. But yeah it was awesome. There were so many people there though, she got SO nervous! She started crying and I felt so bad for her. But we talked her through everything and she calmed down a lot. When she came up out of the font she had the BIGGEST, HAPPIEST smile on her face and it made me so happy. :))) she is just the sweetest!

XD We asked one of our members to translate a portion of our testimonies to give in Tongan and it ended up great! Hopefully we pronounced the words right lol. I shared a favorite poem of mine that was in our study guide about the Atonement, and I started crying and then a bunch of other people started crying too lol. The Spirit was super strong and I was so happy I got to share it
ESPECIALLY because one of our members just got back from New Zealand with his NEW WIFE and also son, who are both not members, and he brought them both to church! We had a lesson with them over zoom on Thursday, and we're having another lesson with them on Tuesday. God has just prepared them so much and it is so cool to see!

A handful of our members went to it, so some of our appointments were cancelled

Scripture of the week:
Instead of a scripture, here is the poem I shared:
'Twas battered and scarred, and the auctioneer
Thought it scarcely worth his while
To waste much time on the old violin,
But held it up with a smile:
“What am I bidden, good folks,” he cried,
“Who’ll start the bidding for me?”
“A dollar, a dollar”; then, “Two!” “Only two?
Two dollars, and who’ll make it three?
Three dollars, once; three dollars, twice;
Going for three—” But no,
From the room, far back, a gray-haired man
Came forward and picked up the bow;
Then, wiping the dust from the old violin,
And tightening the loose strings,
He played a melody pure and sweet
As a caroling angel sings.
The music ceased, and the auctioneer,
With a voice that was quiet and low,
Said, “What am I bid for the old violin?”
And he held it up with the bow.
“A thousand dollars, and who’ll make it two?
Two thousand! And who’ll make it three?
Three thousand, once, three thousand, twice,
And going, and gone!” said he.
The people cheered, but some of them cried,
“We do not quite understand
What changed its worth.” Swift came the reply:
“The touch of a master’s hand.”
And many a man with life out of tune,
And battered and scarred with sin,
Is auctioned cheap to the thoughtless crowd,
Much like the old violin.
A “mess of pottage,” a glass of wine,
A game—and he travels on.
He’s “going” once, and “going” twice,
He’s “going” and almost “gone.”
But the Master comes, and the foolish crowd
Never can quite understand
The worth of a soul and the change that’s wrought
By the touch of the Master’s hand.
Funny Quotes:
• "You better not hit me in the head" "I won't hit you in the head with my hand, but the newspaper might. That's ok though, right?"
• "You and your funny noises. And I thought I was weird cuz I make funny noises" -Sister Perkins
Fun Fact:
If you ever get a wart, apparently you can put duct tape on it and it supposedly helps?

I did some scribble art this week
