Happy Easter :))
Update for this week:
A lot of fun stuff happened this week! On Wednesday we were at the church waiting for Teresa and her family because we had a lesson set up, but they ended up being late... so one of the counselors in the Bishopric recruited us to talk to the 14-15 yo boys about missionary work
it was awesome, and they had really good questions! Missionary work is a good time :)
it was awesome, and they had really good questions! Missionary work is a good time :)On Thursday, we took a member of the Samoan ward tracting with us because she's in the MTC! It was super fun, and she gave us a ton of tips for finding Polynesian people

Friday was Zone Conference and it was AMAZING. I learned a lot, especially from the discussion we had about General Conference. I LOVE Elder Uchtdorf's talk, President Nelson's talk, Elder Eyring's talk, and Elder KlebingΓΆt's talk. It was super amazing because it helped me learn how to be a better disciple of Jesus Christ. What's something you all learned from General Conference?
I also had to bear my testimony because I'm leaving at the end of this transfer. It's crazy to think about. I just got my departing missionary info and almost half of the missionaries who are going home this transfer are from my zone XD
We also put a couple more kids on date for baptism this week! May14th is the day, and they're 2 brothers, Fesi and Ami. Their family is so cute, especially their little sister Mary Jane (she's the only girl). They're all so well behaved, it's kinda awesome. In our lesson we showed them a video about the first vision and talked about the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and asked them if they wanted to be baptized and ALL of the kids were so excited, they all were like "YES!!!" it was so cute :))
Also we taught the primary on Sunday and that was hilarious and super fun XD
Scripture of the week:
Mosiah 4:2-3
"And they had viewed themselves in their own carnal state, even less than the dust of the earth. And they all cried aloud with one voice, saying: O have mercy, and apply the atoning blood of Christ that we may receive forgiveness of our sins, and our hearts may be purified; for we believe in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who created heaven and earth, and all things; who shall come down among the children of men.
And it came to pass that after they had spoken these words the Spirit of the Lord came upon them, and they were filled with joy, having received a remission of their sins, and having peace of conscience, because of the exceeding faith which they had in Jesus Christ who should come, according to the words which king Benjamin had spoken unto them."
Funny Quotes:
• "Extra crunchy chicken. Every bite is magical" -a restaurant
• "Hi! We're the missionaries from the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints" " sorry, my baby is in the bathtub" -a guy we tracted into
• "Do you know anyone in the area who might like to hear a message about Jesus Christ?" "The manager might" -someone we tracted into
• "I'm not gonna lie to you, cuz Jesus knows. I've been smoking" -some guy we tracted into
Fun Fact:
In Tongan my first name is Lepeka. I think Rachel is cooler cuz it's Lesieli
